Exposed. That is a term that we all are becoming all to familiar with in this past month...

Updated: Apr 28, 2020

There are many different ways to look at this word; exposed. In the past many days we have become so very focused on not being exposed-to COVID19. In the process of trying to prevent exposure to the disease, what truths in our lives and in our world have been exposed as well? The walls that we previously lived behind-of occupation, security, role, social activity and contacts, our well hidden worries, fears and insecurities-these walls have come down and exposed us in our human frailty, bringing to the surface those things which we were oh so good at hiding behind before. Whatever it is in us that now lays bare, there always has been and still is just one cure-the healing blood of Jesus. In this ever changing world in which we live, in these seemingly uncertain times in which we find ourselves, the one and only constant remains He who has always been and will ever be... our God who created us, loves us, redeems us and never changes. His promises remain Yes and Amen!

My prayer for us all is that as our roles shift, that our identity as beloved children of God, precious and holy in His sight, redeemed and washed spotless by the blood of Jesus, is what we expose the most every day.
