Christ Cares for Kids cares for the basic needs of children NB-5 years of age in a warm, loving environment. Over 95% of the families we serve fall below the federal poverty level. Christ Cares for Kids is open Mondays, from 4:30-7:30 and on Wednesdays from 9-11 a.m. at Christ Cares Ministries, 4018 N. 40th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85018.

On a physical level, we provide needy families with diapers, clothing, and other items for children ages NB-5 years. On a spiritual level, we pray with families, we encourage children to memorize scripture, and we act as Jesus’ hands and feet. Also we offer classes in parenting, budgeting, and nutrition.

It is our desire to promote healthy families, to create relationships based on our faith in Jesus Christ, and to share His love. We offer Compassion, Assistance, Respect, Empowerment, and Salvation!

“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”   Colossians 3:17 NKJV

Though it is sometimes difficult for us to admit, we have all lived less than perfect lives. Our good intentions have failed us again and again as we have hurt people, hurt ourselves and are often left feeling that we are failures as Christians or even as human beings.

No matter what your hurts, habits, or hang-ups may be, there is HOPE! Celebrate Recovery is a safe, welcoming, grace-filled, Christ-centered fellowship. You will find many who are dealing with struggles similar to your own. You will also find a group of men and women who share your desire to be made whole.

CR offers a person the opportunity to participate in a group fellowship where love and hope combine with God's purpose to mend our lives.

We urge you to join us this Thursday night for delicious food, welcoming fellowship, lively worship, inspirational teaching, and honest testimonies that will strengthen and support you on the road to recovery!  Join us at Christ Church Lutheran campus at 3901 East Indian School Road. Dinner is at 5:45pm, followed by worship at 6:45pm, and small groups at 7:30pm.

God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we our selves have received from God. (2 Corinthians 1:4)

Stephen Ministry is grounded in Jesus’ command to love one another. Those who are hurting receive the love and care they need through one-on-one caring relationships.

A person-either you, a relative, or a friend-is hurting and in need of Christian care. The Stephen Ministry Referral Coordinator learns about this need for care-from a pastor, professional church worker, the person, or a friend-always with the person’s permission. The Referral Coordinator contacts the person to explain Stephen Ministry. Once the person gives permission, the Referral Coordinator prays for the appropriate Stephen Minister assignment. The Stephen Minister provides distinctively Christian care for the person in strict confidentiality on a weekly basis.

Consider allowing a Stephen Minister to walk with you on your journey to wholeness. If you would like to have a Stephen Minister or make a referral, contact Pastor Arnie Frank at 602.955.4830, x1011 or
